OpenStudy (anonymous):

at what extent of mastery skills? (like a lot?)

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yeah, what do you need help on?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have to merge and center titles across columns A through E

OpenStudy (anonymous):

https://kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk/page.php?id=939

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

under the Home Tab, you should see a "merge and center" button

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

highlight the cells you want to merge first, then select this button

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried that and it either it wont move or it disappears can I send an attachment and you show me what I am doing wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is my 4th day and assignment that I have ever used this program

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you get the worksheet

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

Hope you like this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

perfect now please tell me how to do it

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

you can only select one row at a time to merge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that was step 2 in my assignment and yours looks almost like the sample I have to mirror

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please give details on how to do this I am trying to do it and still cant Please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tina-ann. Did you refer to my link I posted earlier?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it tells me cannot merge overlapping ranges

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

i've attached instructions on how to merge and center you titles.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

step 1 isn't necessary to use the merge and center feature. I used step one to make the whole spreadsheet look more centered.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

step one for me was to spell check, then change the font, size and then merge and center the above task

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i havent i cant seem to do this

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

did you follow the instructions that i outlined in the attachment???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i click on A1 then press and hold ctrl then click on B1 C1 D1 and E1 to highlight the cells then I right click on the cell and click format cells then check the box that says merge and then a box pops up and says cannot merge overlapping cells

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry overlapping ranges

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

don't use ctrl. click on A1 then while you are still holding down the left mouse key, drag the cursor over to E1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG I could kiss you!!!!

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

please don't. I'm glad you were able to figure it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so very much I was really getting frustrated

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

you're welcome. Is there anything else you are having trouble with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not at this moment, i am gonna try the rest on my own, r u gonna be on for awhile

OpenStudy (anonymous):
