can any one explain me this sentence cornea transplantation become easier as it lack from blood vessel i m not gettin g if blood vessel is absent so what is there any benefit..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the cornea is one part of the eye that bends the light so that you can see properly. benefits: if yours is damaged, you might be able to see again. and because there aren't any blood vessels in the cornea, its transplantation is done relatively easily. you don't need to connect little veins to it after transplantation (you need to do that if you transplant any organ, for example). also, it's not blood type dependent.

ok it means when transplantation is done and if it has blood supply first we have to close the veins rit ok thnX

and you can't just transplant any organ to any other person because of blood type interactions and stuff. but when it comes to corneas, you can do it.

ok thanX
