uhhhhh how would i solve this? -8x - 3 < 18 - x Please explain clearly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I messed up the last step. x > -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bring all terms with x to one side and constants to the other. -8x - 3 < 18 - x -8x+x < 18+3 -7x < 21 -x < 3 x > -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how dod you get -7 when it was -8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-8x+x = -7x. Because both terms have "x" in them, you can simply add them up like numbers.
