Emilio works at a local fast-food restaurant. He currently makes $200 per week after taxes plus $20 extra cash every other week for cleaning the deep fryer. Emilio is trying to save up for an apartment. He knows that he can get a nice apartment for a move-in cost between $1,050 and $2,100. The equation below represents this situation where x is the number of weeks worked and P is the move-in cost of the apartment. 1/2(20x) + 200x = p what is the minimum number of weeks taht emilio needs to work to get his apartment?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Solve the equation twice. The first time replace p with 1050 and the second time replace p with 2100. Then you will be able to say that he has to work the number of weeks that are between the 2 answers.

i still dont know how though what is the minimum number? :(

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Did you do what I said?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Replace p with 1050 and solve. That will be the minimum number of weeks he must work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

101x = 1050 is what i got so far..
