I think it's the last option, "sustainable energy."

Renewable energy resources can create pollution, are often more expensive (in terms of money, now) and are not necessarily clean but they are always, by definition, sustainable.

it is sustainable....can be regenerated so as to last for generations to come...so it definitely at first preference sustainable
