I have to take a test today and its a really important entrance exam...but i cant use a calculator. any tips on how to survive? i don't want to not make it just because of some stupid arithmetic

work slowly and carefully on the arithmetic, spend the pencil lead by writing all steps and not trying to do everything at once

i assume since you are worried about the calculator that there will be arithmetic in this entrance exam. write the steps down neatly and clearly, not scrawled at the top corner of your paper. make sure you know what it is you are doing. mostly arithmetic is not that hard, but the mistakes come by trying to rush. take your time (within reason of course)

You guys are lucky, in India, calculators are not allowed for any kind of test.
