Mathematics 10 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3( x - 4 ) - 2( x + 4) ≤ 9 and 3( x - 2 ) - 5( x + 2 ) < 11

hero (hero):

-3( x - 4 ) - 2( x + 4) ≤ 9 -3x+12 - 2x-8 ≤ 9 -5x +4 ≤ 9 -5x ≤ 5 -5 ≤ 5x -1 ≤ x

hero (hero):

Once again, done without having to divide or flip signs. It's much easier that way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tried that and I keep on getting a different answer everytime I am so bad at math

hero (hero):

I'm sorry to hear that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me out with this problem 3( x - 2 ) - 5( x + 2 ) < 11

hero (hero):

They didn't "flip sides". I simply added 5x to both sides and then added 5 to both sides all in one step.
