4x^2y-36y factor the polynomial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you mean that the 4x term has an exponent of 2y, because that isnt a polynomial? if you meant 4x^2-36y^2 then it factorised is (2x-6y)(2x+6y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk but the answere is 4y(x+3)(x-3) i just dont know how to show the work
