A cytoplasm in a cell is the space between nucleus and the cell membrane or cell wall or both. The nucleus is surrounded by a nuclear envelope which keeps the nucleus separate from the cytoplasm. The cell wall separates the cytoplasm and actually the whole cell from its outside environment. The cytoplasm all the organelles that a cell has except the nucleus is on its own.
