Identify the vertex for the graph of y = 3x2 + 12x + 5. (2, 41) (2, 35) (−2, −31) (−2, −7) I got the third one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think if you replace x by -2 you do not get -31

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find vertex in any general quadratic first put dy/dx=0 in this case 6x+12=0, x=-2, To get y coordinate substitue x in the equation here you get y=-7

OpenStudy (hihi):

Is the answer really (-2,-13) I just re did it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3(-2)^2+12(-2)+5\] is what you n eed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[12-24+5\] \[-12+5\] \[-7\]

OpenStudy (hihi):

oh so its (-2,-7)
