first statement "y varies directly with x " means \[y=kx\]
you do not know "k" yet but second statement "y = 60 when x = 10" tells you \[60=k\times 10\] solve for k by dividing by 10 to get \[6=k\] and you are done
well, you are done when you write \[y=6x\]
thank you
