I have heard that MIT is planning on offering free online courses is that true??

I have read on their website they will grant a certificate for some of their courses and the fees will be fordable. They will start next spring... in one month or so

https://6002x.mitx.mit.edu/ It'll start soon. The course has 18.03 (Differential Equations) and 8.02 (Electricity and Magnetism) listed as prerequisites. They said for the physics AP level is sufficient and that the DE part only starts in the second half (so you have time to work through 18.01, 18.02 and some 18.03).
