B: A number line with an open circle on 3, shading to the left, and a closed circle on 5, shading to the right. C: A number line with an open circle on 3, a closed circle on 5, and shading in between. First, reduce the two inequalities so that x is alone. For example, in the second inequality divide both parts by 4 to get x <= ? Then. decide which inequality has which circle (open vs closed) and find the options where that circle is paired with the right number. Finally, shade in the direction the inequalities state; (e.g. shade right if the number is greater than x, left if less than x).
