i know its not physics but if anyone knows please help.
describe in 500 words the circuits and resistances in a house. Describe the overall circuit, lights, and what happens when appliances are used. Use diagrams if you wish.

circuits in a house are normally series circuits. you will have the circuit breakers firstly as the main resistance, so that if the current goes beyond a certain range(i.e the devices try to draw more current for some reason, perhaps a short cct,)then this will shut off that cicrcuit but not necessarily the other ccts, although there is a main fuse, in case the current going into the house rises by too much or again too much is drawn down by devices. there are also fuses in the devices themselves and contrary to most peoples understanding these are to protect the machine, and not the person. so normally you might have a 13A fuse in a normal house appliance. thats a starting point.
