We learn about so many wars in history. How many years have we gone, in total, over all of human history, without any wars?
War has always been and will always continue to be a undeniable facet of both our past and present state. Look up Frederick Nietzsche's concept of the Will to Power. I think it offers, if not a very comforting outlook, at least a pragmatic, realistic one. I think, however, it is not so much war, that is most applicable to social reality, but violence.
Just guessing, but . . . ZERO.
Somebody is always fighting in this world. Heck, we could easily rule out the last 2000 years just because of the strife in the Middle East.
According to W.J.Durant, from 3421 years of documented history, there are only 268 years without war.
To follow that up that means less than 8% of history is without war.
