A city had population 67,255 on January 1, 2000, and its population has been increasing by 2935 people each year since then. A linear model for the population P, where t is in years after 2000, is A) P(t) = 2935t. Eliminate B) P(t) = 67255t. C) P(t) = 2935 + 67255t. D) P(t) = 67255 + 2935t.

D:The question asked about LINEAR

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All those equations are linear.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The one whose value is 67255 when t=0 is the linear function I was talking about.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is the wrong answer because when t = 2, then it gives you an outrageous high population number. The population starts there and grows 2935 per year from there on.
