Explain, in complete sentences, which method you would use to solve the following system of equations and why you chose that method. Show your work and provide the solution to the system. 5x + 3y = –7 4x – 2y = –10

I would use the elimination process to solve 5x + 3y = –7 4x – 2y = –10 Since all of the coffiecients (i.e. 5, 3, 4 and 2) are not equal to one, if I had chosen the substitution method I would have had to deal with fractions.
