Need some help solving this question

OpenStudy (waheguru):

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

i need a min

OpenStudy (waheguru):

sure

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

seems like an interesting question which requires a bit of thinking, if only u have the patience to wait... worst case scenario, lets say it takes an hour to solve it... can u wait?

OpenStudy (waheguru):

i got the answer thanks anyway

OpenStudy (waheguru):

we need to leave one barrier out so the dimentions are 40 x 10 and u get 400 and itx 20.25 less compared to using the rope

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

actually 21*20 gives you an even larger area... calculate it yourself :)

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

leaving one barrier out... i don't see that part in the question... i thought we were dealing with the a) part first...

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

anyways you're satisfied with your answer so it's all good :) i'm not sure i get you though

OpenStudy (waheguru):

hmm ill try 20 x21

OpenStudy (waheguru):

no 20.5x20.5 is .25 greater lllol

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

that is a square... not a rectangle...

OpenStudy (waheguru):

a square is aspecial kind of a rectangle, well my teacher said we can use squares

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

maybe you could say 20.25 * 20.75 which will give u some decimal extras, and no, a square is in no way considered a rectangle, not even a special type... the best u can say is a special quadrilateral

OpenStudy (waheguru):

well, thanks for your help ill ask my teacher morrow =D

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

i hope i made some sense though...

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

basically i'll show you how this is solved but before that i need to find out, have u done curves.... maximum and minimum?
