In the coordinate plane, the point X(-3,3) is translated to the point X(0,1) . Under the same translation, the points Y(0,7) and Z(-1,1) are translated to Y and Z , respectively. What are the coordinates of Y and Z?

OpenStudy (vishal_kothari):

It depends on the function involved in the transformation. For simplicity just take the linear transformation. X(-3,3) is transformed into X'(0,1) x co-ordinate is increased by +3 and y co-ordinate is decreased by 2. If you follow this then Y(0,7) is as Y'(3,5) and Z(-1,1) is as Z(2,-1)
