so lets say you are travellling at a rate of 12 miles per hour and you travelled for 2 hours then you multiply the rate by the time which is 12*2=24 so the distance is 24 miles

But you basically take the rate and multiply it by the time and that will give you the distance but make sure to remember to use the units it was gven in so if they used miles then stick to miles
