If the elevator can only handle 2000 lb, and each box weighs 55 lbs then MaxLift/Weight of boxes=number of boxes that can be carried.
well. its long division... but i dont know how to do long division. sorry!!!
\[2000/55=36.364\] Because it would be difficult to split apart a box of books so that all you had was .364 of one, the best answer would be 36 whole boxes.
