I want to learn assembly languages, without any prior knowledge of assembler O.o what should I do? Are there any neat books for absolute beginners like me?
Because the Intel/AMD manuals aren't really ideal for Ab Initio learning of Assembler :(
Would be nice if the book not only teaches assembler, but also the raw details of CPU, memory, hardware, I/O and whatnot.
so I end up knowing one assembly language, as well as knowing how to learn the rest! Teach a guy how to fish and he's set for life and that kind of thing.
and one of my first projects in C would be Yet Another Disassembler.
"The Art Of Assembly Language Programming" by R. Hyde is a good book, especially if you already have some idea of programming concepts. Also recommendable is "Assembly Language Step By Step" by J. Duntemann (ISBN-13: 978-0471375234).
I think this series is well worth your time and effort, atleast try :P http://www.securitytube.net/groups?operation=view&groupId=5
