During the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, the Aquatics Center was often referred to as the "water cube." The walls of the center were 178 meters long, but the complex 'only' had a volume of 982,204 cubic meters. If the center was actually a cube, what would be the approximate volume of the "cube?"

...ok im not sure actually ok the center the the name of the cube but the reason im not sure how to answer this question is because i dont really understand the complex part of it...

what i think though is that the complex part is to confuse you and that you are supposed to ignore it cause it is unnecessary. the center is a cube with walls length of 178. since it is a cube if u multiply 178x178x178 then u would get the volume of the center which is 5,639,752 which is approximately 5600000.
