How many zeros does this function have? y=5x^2+10x-3 2 1 0

OpenStudy (hoblos):

2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer should be zero since if u take the sqrt((b^2)-4*a*c) = sqrt(100-4*5*32) u will get an imaginart numer so it never touches the x axis

OpenStudy (hoblos):

notice the (-) before the 3!! whenever a quadratic of the form ax2 +bx +c and a&c have different signs then we have two solutions for it

sorry i missed the negative there are 2 solutions
