The paddles cause a turbine to move and this allows a generator to produce electricity. The moving water in a waterfall has kinetic energy. The stored energy in fossil fuels is potential energy. A fossil fuel containing 1,000 J of energy is burned. 880 J of energy are captured from this burning. I think D am I right?
