OpenStudy (vanz):

multiply, and express each product in simplest form?

OpenStudy (vanz):

\[x ^{3}-x ^{2}/3x \times x ^{2}+2x+1/x ^{2}-1\]

OpenStudy (vanz):

????????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the bottom quotient first?

OpenStudy (vanz):

yes? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get (x^2(x-1))/(-2x-1)

OpenStudy (vanz):

how did you get that? :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

synthetic division of the bottom quotient to get 3x- ( 5x+1 )/ ( x^2 - 1 ) which is ( 3x(x^2-1)-5x-1)/(x^ 2-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

invert and mulltiply by x^3-x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its an involved algebra problem with plenty of opportunities for me to make a mistake so be careful and just try to have fun with it!
