dry woods burns radially not wet wood why??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

best guess, is that with wet wood the fire has to first dry the wood before it can burn. The dry wood is far more combustible. Not that I've noticed such patterns in my wood stove.

hmm.. well in wet wood due to hydrogen bonding it was not burn easliy as while burning we have to also give a lot of heat to break hydrogen bond ..while dry wood burns easily as there is no hydrogen bonding.. nxt time u will definitely observe this thing..
