what is 91x5/9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

type the equation with the help of equation button

OpenStudy (anonymous):

according to BODMAS...first do division then do multiplication\[5/9= 0.55556\] \[0.55556*91 = 50\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Division and multiplication have equal precedence.

yeah still doin divsion the first is safe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But you're left with a recurring decimal, which is going to lead to rounding error etc. and produce an incorrect result later. It's not really "safe" to do either first, it's just a matter of what fits at the time. \[\Large 91 \times \frac{5}{9} = \frac{{91 \times 5}}{9} = \frac{{455}}{9}\]
