Please help asap. only a few questions:)
what was the starting point of the northern paiute tribe?
where was a place they encountered difficulty?
where was a place where they encountered difficulty?
where was a place where they met people unlike their own group?
where did they settle

I do not know a lot about the Paiute, but what I can tell you is that I have lived in Nevada and California long enough to know there are Paiute reservations in both states, although, I think there are more in California (can't be sure though). So as far as your question about where did they settle, you can safely add California and Nevada to the list. I say that because there may be tribes elsewhere as well, Oregon perhaps?

I know that the Paiute were migratory in many locations, so it is likely they encountered other tribes and settlers on their travels, but I can't say who. The only thing that I can say is that in conversations with Paiute clients when I lived in Nevada, I was told that they do not get along with the Washoe tribe (I was told the same by Washoe clients). So the Washoe tribe is the only one I can say for certain that they encountered and probably in a negative way.
