What is the domain and range of the function? f(x)=x^3+2x^2

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

As we can see the function can take all the values on the number line ( as there is no point where the function is not defined ) the domain is all real numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great! Thanks. How should I go about finding the range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nevermind... :P haha

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

ok what i would do for this function is graph it.. Now we know it tale values for all real numbers, so there is no point where the function is not defined so we do not have to worry of it.. Also i can see it is a cubic function, so a cubic function ranges all over from - infinity to +infinity

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

oh dont worry i will not leave the question till you get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, gotcha. :P It's been a long day. ;) Haha Thanks so much!

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

Have a good night :D

Thanks, you too!
