What is the domain of f(x) = log(x - 4) + 3?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

our only concern is in the log( ) logs hate to be 0 and less

OpenStudy (amistre64):

x-4 <= 0 +4 +4 ----------- x <= 4

OpenStudy (amistre64):

might have done that a bit backwartds; thats the bad side of the domain :) we want x-4 to be greater than 0 x-4 > 0 +4 +4 -------- x > 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If y varies inversely as x, and y = 12 as x = 2, find y for the x-value of 6. 6 5 4 3

OpenStudy (amistre64):

an inverse relationship is: xy = k

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2(12) = 24 6(y) = 24
