Some species of organisms can reproduce either asexually through mitosis or sexually, which requires meiosis. In which of the following situations would it be the least beneficial for a species to reproduce asexually rather than sexually? a. one in which potential mates are difficult to find b. one in which resources such as food and water are abundant c. one in which the environment undergoes sudden, drastic changes d. one in which the species is not capable of locomotion
I don't get it either...
I'd go with C: if environment undergoes changes, then sexual reproduction might be good because of exchange of genetic material - better chance of adaptations. But this is just a guess, I might be totally missing the question.
