OpenStudy (nottim):

The height, h, in metres, of a car above ground as a Feeris wheel turns can be modelled using the function: h=20sin(PiT/60)+25, where T is the time in seconds. Determine the instananeous rate of change at 5s.

OpenStudy (nottim):

MY answer is off by an annoying 0.01. The correct answer is 1m/s. Mine is 1.01m/s.

OpenStudy (nottim):

My "h" for 5s is 30.176. For 5.001, h is 30.177m

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

i too get 1.0115, the "correct answer" is prob due to rounding dh/dt = (20pi/60)cos(Tpi/60) = (pi/3)cos(Tpi/60) T = 5 dh/dt = (pi/3)cos(pi/12) = 1.0115

OpenStudy (nottim):

Wait. IT was the other way around. I worded that wrong.
