big bang question. question: supposing that the universe is flat universe (null curvature). Now a flat universe is infinite. but how can an infinite plane (or infinite space) contract to a point.

OpenStudy (perl):

when i say contract , i mean, going backwards to the big bang (singularity)

OpenStudy (perl):

flat universe means that space goes on in every direction . but i dont see how a flat infinite universe can contract to a point (point of singularity) back in time
