I'm just going to copy and paste every single question from my textbook and coursework for the upcoming semester, and I expect comprehensive answers for them now.

:-|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just use google and wolframalpha

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

That will not be helpful.. You will get answers, but if you try to grasp the concept it will be more helpful in the long run of the course

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seriously... when I was in high-school, we did homework and worked out problems. When we couldn't work them out, we studied the underlying concepts rigorously until we could. Failing that, we sought help on particular, specific topics or problems from teachers, other students, or parents. And I didn't even take high-school that seriously. What is with all these long questions being copy-pasted into OpenStudy?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but read what mods says again and again :D of course they tolerate it because they get more users

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

We can't help it.. this has been a topic of debate since long.. we have tried telling this to the admins, but it is certainly not a problem with an easy solutions, we have people who just want asnwers and people who are satisfied by just giving them and that is what is happening now-a-days

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha I'm not in ANY way blaming you guys, the mods or the admins; I mean why are students getting so damn lazy :-P

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

yea question like 3x+2=4x+6 Prove that they are dam lazy.. And we have people who answer like x=.... and done the user is happy and leaves

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think they were always lazy just sometime ago they were copying from each other. now it's easier to do it in internet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But that's alright, at least when all the people who only sought the answer and not the concept get into the real world, none of you will be facing too much competition in your areas of expertise ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no user doesn't leave he posts bazillion other questions similar to this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha yeah. There's nothing wrong with asking a basic question - maybe you're new to algebra and want don't quite understand solving for a variable or whatever's going on - but 85 questions later on exactly the same topic from the same user, it's a bit of a joke. Or when 17 questions in a row from one user are clearly copy-pasted from an online course or similar - "In full sentences, explain why Part a) b) c) ... z)." Or when you explain how to do it and they say "I just want the answer plz." GAH!

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

The sole concept of this website is to STUDY TOGETHER, not ANSWERS TO YOU.. They can very well be directed to google or wolphram for such reasons, that is what users use to answer them as well

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

Lol yea, sometimes when they ask similar questions in a row, it turns out to be funny, and some how gives rise to sarcasm in me :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know why are we discussing this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it's easier to answer to them for those who are medal hunters because they will get lvl fast

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT such is life I suppose =) /rant. Now if you'll excuse me, I have 1.9*10^8 equations to rearrange over there <--- :-P

OpenStudy (akshay_budhkar):

LOL, lets go REARRANGE! :P
