is L =2W + 15 a good equation to establish the relationship between length and width?
provided that length is fifteen more than twice width, I'd say yes.
ok, so basically the formula can be made using whatever numbers? There really isn't a problem, it just says establish a relationship between length and width
So this equation is taken on by you? or is it provided?
if the problem says establish a relationship between length and width . why would you choose such an equation?
i just made it up, is that wrong?
i will use it to eventually find a perimeter, so I have to solve for length and width knowing I have an area of 250ft
No i won't say it is wrong, but somwhow i feel the question is incomplete
Aha!
i knew it!
see that is your question
i just wanted to make sure i was headed in the right direction
ok this is the way you go ahead now
thank you
you have the Area = 250 Now we know length x Breadth = Area,, Taking Length as L and breadth as B You have L x B = Area therefore L x B= 250 Now, the periemter is 2(L + B)...
so you have to find the perimeter in terms of other variables?
or do u need to find it in exact constant value?
i got it now thanks...
umm so what did u do?
