While finding the slope of a line that goes through the points (6, 5) and (3, 7), Gloria figured that slope y = -2 and slope x = 3 without graphing. Explain how Gloria could find the slope triangle without graphing. Draw a sketch of the line and validate her method.

Formula for slope: \[y _{2} - y _{1} \over x_{2} - x_{1} \] So you would have \[7 - 5 \over 3 - 6\] which becomes \[- 2 \over 3\]
