In a ripple tank, a point on the the third nodal line from the centre is 35.0cm from another. The sources are 11.2cm apart and vibrate in phase at 10.5Hz. Calculate the wavelength and the speed of the waves.

OpenStudy (nottim):

I haven't done the question. Just wondering what the values correspond with what variables?

OpenStudy (nottim):

f= 10.5Hz, d=11.2cm, n=3, l=35.0cm. That's what I think. The formulas gunna be tricky too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each node appear at half a waveleght \[35 cm=3 \frac{\lambda}{2}\] \[\lambda=35*3/2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

noone answered before because you posted in wrong group

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[v= f \lambda\]

OpenStudy (nottim):

Sorry. Came back. How do I post in right group? NEw format messed me up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's not new format, just join other group and post there

OpenStudy (nottim):

ok

OpenStudy (nottim):

i already joined the physics group. how do i post there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

change your group to physics and same like in this group

OpenStudy (nottim):

It won't let me change.

OpenStudy (nottim):

When I look at it, its greyed out.

OpenStudy (nottim):

The thing I use to use to change the groups.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you use to change groups?

OpenStudy (nottim):

The thing under the question box. Where it says Current Group:
