A perfect square is any number than when it's square root is taken, gives a whole number or you could say that a perfect square is the square of a number. an example of a perfect square is 4. when i take the square root of 4, i get 2, which is a whole number.\[\sqrt{4}=2\] and the square of 2 is 4 \[2^{2}=4\]
