Why did Pasteur's work lead to a change in modern cell theory?
A. He created great controversy among scientists, and to settle the dispute, cell theory was adjusted to include both spontaneous generation and the idea that cells come from pre-existing cells. B. He showed that the broth was composed of microorganisms which needed air, showing that cells need oxygen for cellular respiration. C. His work, which was documented and repeatable, contradicted the accepted cell theory, so a change in the theory was required. D. His reputation as a great scientist convinced other scientists to accept his work and change cell theory. Im thinking either C or A??
