an object with mass 'm' is moving in a circle of radius 'R' at a constant speed of 'v.' The net force acting on the object must be increased if _. List all that apply- a.Its speed were increased (while 'R' and 'm' are held constant) b.Its speed were decreased (while 'R' and 'm' are held constant) c.Its radius were increased (while 'v' and 'm' are held constant) d.Its radius were decreased (while v'' and 'm' are held constant) e.Its mass were increased (while 'R' and 'v' are held constant) d.Its mass were decreased (while 'R' and 'v' are held constant e.none, none of these affect the net force

Have you tried using dummy variables?

OpenStudy (nottim):

Hello? You here?

OpenStudy (nottim):

Imma go. The dummy variables thing: just sub in values and see what happens.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help me further? do you know which are right?

OpenStudy (jamesj):

The magnitude of the force is F = mv^2/r Hence F goes up if - mass m goes up - velocity v goes up - radius r goes down
