can we search daily life things around us with the help of bluetooth technology, if yes, then how??

my curious guess is we cannot ..... because though we dont have a particular rage of frequency for bluetooth it is some thing like an EM wave so for an EM wave we need to have a golden set of rule which is followed that is emitter transmitter and receiver .. then according to this principle we need to have an EM receiver on every object you try to find or you need to

hmmmm...........but recently i read a news of IIT-d, where few students tried to do it with the help of java..

no because bluetooth is a limited distance technology 10 meters or 30 feet, if you talk about searching things then bluetooth device should have to in connection with many other open bluetooth devices it means a lot of interference of signal and distortion. so in the end what you get is nothing
