Describe the graph of this inequality: 3x + 2y < 4 Make sure your answer includes these things: a) Slope of the line b) y-intercept c) Type of line (dotted or solid) d) Direction of shading

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first lets look at the symbol. it is dotted because you don't have an equal sign.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

next let us look at the slope. take the 3x to the other side of the equal sign and make it negative and then divide by two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your slope will be -3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since you divided the 4 by 2 your y intercept will be 2.

then choose a point on one side or the other and determine if the equation is true. If true shade it if not shade the other side.

thank you so much!
