i had this question on a test recently and got it wrong can someone please explain it to me...the percentage P, of voters who use electronic voting systems in national elections can be modeled by the formula P=2.6x+41.4 where x is the number of years after 1995. In which years will more than 70% of voters use electronic systems? The answer is 2006.
if i work the problem in reverse now that i know the answer i get 11 as the solution but i can only get this number if i use 70 for P. but when i tried to solve it i used .70 because i turned the % into a decimal but obviously i wasnt suppose to do that, can anyone explain why?
P=70 because P is the percentage of voters so it will be a percentage value (%)
makes sense thanks, ill be sure to pay more attention to my "values" :)
