Anyone have a clue as to what value graduate programs put on the GRE "Subject" test vs. the standard GRE?

In the sciences, the point of view of most programs is they want candidates who have a respectable grade in the general test (top 10-20% say) and a very competitive grade in the subject test (top 1-5%).
