5) What would happen when you place a protein with adjacent cysteines in an oxidizing environment? Draw the structure. What would happen when you return these same two cysteines to a reducing environment? Are the environments 1) inside, and 2) outside a cell typically oxidizing or reducing environments?

Reducing would mean there is a lack of electron accepting molecules and an excess of electron donors. |dw:1326916702533:dw| An oxidizing would be an increase of electron accepting molecules and less electron donating molecules (or ions) thus cystiene would look like this |dw:1326916830007:dw| Inside a cell is a reducing environment and outside is an oxidizing environment am I right?
