Please help me out asap! i can't figure this one out! argh! The x-intercept of a line is –5 and the y-intercept of the line is –2. What is the equation of the line?
what equation are u trying to get?
the one with the x and y-intercepts. i just don't get it!!
do u have any answers they give u??
no. this is what it says: The x-intercept of a line is –5 and the y-intercept of the line is –2. What is the equation of the line. how do i figure this out? I'm trying to redo my test for more credit since i failed this one!!
whats the slope
doesn't say anything. That's all it says. THAT"S why I'm so confused!!
oh wait. it DOES have answers. sorry. Here they are, but i have to show work: 1.) y=-5/2x-5 2.)y=2/5x+2 3.) y=5/2x-2 4.) y=-2/5x-2
well what you do is y-y,=m(x-x,) so you would get y+2=2/5 (x+5) Then you would get y+2=2/5x+2 After that you would subtract 2 from both sides Your answers should be y=2/5x
Its b
thanks. how did u get the answer?
my work show how i got it
yeah please. if you can.
my work is above already
ok! thanks so much! God bless you!!
