golfer hits a golf ball. the height of the golf ball is, Y, in meters, after x seconds, given by the equation y=-5x2+50x... how do i find out how long the ball was in the air?

you would solve for when y = 0 (golf ball hits the ground when the height of it is 0) The x value you should find would be your answer for the time it took.
