(x^2y^-4z^-6)/(y^3x^2z^-6) subtract exponents of like variables: x^(2-2) y^(-4-3) z^(-6-(-6) x^0 y^(-7) z^(-6+6) 1* y^(-7) z^(0) y^(-7) * 1 1/y^7
