There is no ( ) in time between the action and reaction
Newton's third law. When sit in a chair, does it take time for the chair to push against you, or do you half fall on the floor before the chair pushes against the force of your weight?
? ? Could you please explain what that means ? ?
What is Newton's 3rd law?
For every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction
Right ... as in sitting in a chair
What goes in the parenthesis?
Now the question is, does that reaction force happen immediately, without delay, or is there a gap between the force and the reaction force?
immediately?
Yes, there is no gap in time
if it were not the case that the reaction for was immediate, then very weird things would happen. Like you would fall half way to the floor every time you sit in a chair
thanks
